About Me
Janet Velazquez obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. In addition, she has her Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Tennessee. She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. She has worked in social service settings for over fifteen years and is passionate about helping clients move forward in life. It is about meeting a person where they are at in life and helping them meet their goals. She has a broad interest and background in cultural issues, acculturation and diversity.
Janet is interactive and solution-focused. Her approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates somatic methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
